Make a yummy homemade breakfast!
You don’t need to be a gourmet chef to impress mom with your culinary skills. A simple stack of pancakes or a scrambled egg breakfast with a toasted croissant slathered with her favorite jam can become extra special if you add a small pot of flowers, a colorful cloth napkin and a handmade multi-option We’ve Got This Chore voucher to her breakfast tray. Plan some simple family time
While spa visits are fabulous – simple family activities can be the ticket too. Here in the Hudson Valley and northern New Jersey we are blessed with so many beautiful natural vistas. Take a stroll by the Hudson River in Nyack or Piermont. Stroll the grounds at Skylands Manor in Ringwood (check out our link – there is a 5k race there on Saturday, May 10th, so parking is limited.)

For history and nature loving moms, consider taking a basket lunch to the Stony Point Battlefield on Mother’s Day, or attending a Lighthouse Talk on May 10th at 7:30 pm (advance reservations are required.) Tour The Hermitage in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ, one of the many National Historic Landmarks where General George Washington slept and visited!

For arts and entertainment buffs – check out the Hudson Valley Magazine Calendar and upcoming acts at Tarrytown Music Hall – the Spin Doctors, Rick Springfield and Bill Cosby are some of the acts who will be performing there through the year.
